Keep Florida Fishing Meets with Congressional Leaders

Keep Florida Fishing (KFF) coalition members braved the snow this week to meet with Congressional leaders and staff during the American Sportfishing Association’s (ASA) Government Affairs Committee meeting. The committee, made up of sportfishing industry representatives from across the country, meets twice a year to discuss legislative and regulatory issues affecting the industry.

Key Florida issues include Everglades restoration, South Atlantic red snapper fishery challenges, coral reef decline and modernization of federal fisheries management for recreational fishermen.

We’re thankful for the support of ASA’s Kellie Ralston, Bass Pro Shops’ Terry Robinson, Don Coffey Company’s Phil Lillo, Capt. Harry’s Fishing Supply’s Carl Liederman, Costa Sunglasses’ Dave Bulthuis, Sportco Marketing’s Kirk Immens and Bonnier Corporation’s Scott Salyers.
